Lecturer in History School of Creative Arts, University of Hertfrdshire

William White is Lecturer in History at the University of Hertfordshire, having previously held a Leverhulme Early Career Research Fellowship in the Department of History at the University of York. As well as his first book, The Lord’s Battle: Preaching, Print and Royalism during the English Revolution (Manchester, 2023), William has published a number of articles on the political, religious, and intellectual history of early modern Britain. He is currently working on a second book, which examines ideas and practices of peace during the revolutionary upheavals of the mid-seventeenth century.
